Gerald Binghoven
I write to understand the human condition—the fears we hide, the desires we suppress, and the truths we refuse to acknowledge. Every character I create is an exploration of some aspect of the psyche that fascinates or disturbs me.
About the Author
Gerald Binghoven was born in Amsterdam in 1969 but spent his formative years moving between European capitals due to his father's diplomatic career. This nomadic childhood exposed him to diverse cultures and languages, shaping his nuanced understanding of human psychology. He studied Psychology at the Sorbonne and later earned an MFA in Creative Writing from Iowa Writers' Workshop. His work often explores themes of identity, displacement, and the hidden psychological landscapes of everyday life.
