Hoppe Vognsen
I write to explore the questions that philosophy can pose but not answer. Fiction allows me to inhabit the paradoxes of existence rather than merely describe them. Each story is an experiment in being.
About the Author
Hoppe Vognsen, born in Copenhagen in 1971, is a philosopher-turned-fiction writer whose sparse but profound body of work reflects her academic background. After earning a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Copenhagen, she taught existential philosophy for fifteen years before a personal crisis led her to express her ideas through fiction rather than academic papers. Her three published works have been described as "meditations disguised as stories" and have attracted a devoted following among readers seeking depth and meaning.
